As the party founder, I have instructed the daily chairman, in this case Bang Ahmad Ali, not to involve the party.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chairman of the PSI Board of Trustees Grace Natalie stated that she has instructed PSI daily chairman Ahmad Ali not to involve the party in the controversy over her video post related to RI Jusuf Kalla (JK), which briefly went viral on social media.

“I, as the party founder, have instructed the daily chairman, in this case Bang Ahmad Ali, not to involve the party,” Grace said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.

Grace explained that the video post was made in her personal capacity as a citizen responding to a viral issue, so the matter is unrelated to the party.

“That I viewed my post as something I did as a citizen responding to a viral issue. Therefore, I, as the party founder, have instructed the daily chairman, in this case Bang Ahmad Ali, not to involve the party,” she said.

Grace also expressed optimism that there is no element of legal violation in the post.

“Because I received many interpretations from constituents and the public taking the statement in various ways, I think I need to explain so that it’s not misinterpreted for Bang the daily chairman,” she said.

“In fact, it was I who requested it; I instructed the daily chairman because I indeed uploaded the material on my social media as a private citizen,” she added.

Grace assured that the post has no connection to PSI and asked the public not to link it to the party’s official stance.

“And I am confident, optimistic that there is no legal violation there, so it has nothing to do with PSI,” Grace said.
