Grab to discontinue the GrabBike Affordable Access Subscription for driver partners
Grab Indonesia announces it will close the Subscription Program for Affordable Access for Two-Wheel Transport Driver Partners (GrabBike).
Jakarta — The app-based transport service platform Grab Indonesia will close the GrabBike Hemat subscription service for driver partners. “Grab Indonesia announces that it will close the Affordable Access Subscription Program for Two-Wheel Transportation Driver Partners (GrabBike),” Grab Indonesia CEO Neneng Goenadi said in a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Moreover, Neneng said the closure of the subscription program is because Grab Indonesia sees a need for further adjustments, as well as to create a sustainable ecosystem for all parties involved. However, Neneng assured that the GrabBike Hemat service will remain available to consumers with journey-cost adjustments to be paid.
“Grab Indonesia reiterates that the GrabBike Hemat service for consumers will remain available with measured cost adjustments, while continuing to prioritise affordability for the public,” he said.
Meanwhile, for users of the GrabBike Standard service, to date Grab Indonesia has ensured there will be no price increase.
Neneng said the welfare of driver partners is a top priority for the company. Grab Indonesia, he added, continues to strive to keep driver earnings stable amid the current industry dynamics. In addition, the company will continue to pursue various welfare programs already in place, including the Bonus Hari Raya (BHR), BPJS Ketenagakerjaan with Grab covering contributions for high-performing partners, and additional accident insurance.
There is also the GrabScholar scholarship program for driver partners’ children, the Umrah programme for inspirational partners, GrabAcademy, GrabBenefits, and the GERCEP emergency channel (Grab Rapid Response).
“Additionally, Grab Indonesia will continually coordinate with the government and all stakeholders to ensure the implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 27 of 2026 for GrabBike driver partners will proceed smoothly,” Neneng said.
