Grab Responds to Rumours of Leaving Indonesia

The super-app Grab has denied rumours of plans to leave Indonesia. “Indonesia is an important ecosystem for Grab,” said the CEO of Grab Indonesia, Neneng Goenadi, in a written statement on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Neneng said that Grab respects the direction and policies of the Indonesian government and is committed to working in harmony with the national agenda in strengthening an inclusive and sustainable digital economy.

After more than 10 years of operating in Indonesia, Neneng stated that Grab is committed to continuing to grow and taking an active role in supporting the lives of the community.

According to Neneng, Grab has become a part of the daily lives of millions of Indonesians for the past decade. She estimates that Grab Indonesia’s market share reaches 50 percent of the ride-hailing and online delivery industry.

She assured that Grab will continue to collaborate with the government, partners, and all stakeholders.
