Grab Responds to Pertamax Fuel Price Hike on Driver and User Impact

The adjustment of non-subsidised fuel prices took effect on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. Regarding this policy, Grab Indonesia is continuing to monitor the dynamics of the fuel price adjustment as it unfolds. The company understands that the change in fuel prices has a direct impact on the increase in daily operational costs for its driver partners in the field. “Therefore, Grab’s main focus is to ensure a healthy balance between the sustainability of partner income, service affordability for users, and platform operational stability,” said Tyas Widyastuti, Director of Mobility, Food, and Logistics at Grab Indonesia, in a written statement on Thursday (11/6/2026). Grab is currently conducting periodic evaluations by considering various aspects and the real situation on the ground. Any future decisions taken are ensured to always refer to the applicable regulatory provisions from the government. It was previously reported that PT Pertamina Patra Niaga officially increased the price of Pertamax fuel (RON 92) to Rp 16,250 per litre starting Wednesday, 10 June 2026 for the DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas. The price of Pertamax fuel rose by Rp 3,950 per litre from the previously set Rp 12,300 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of Pertamax Green fuel (equivalent to RON 95) is now also priced at Rp 17,000 per litre, up from the previous Rp 12,900 per litre. The price for Pertamax Turbo remains at Rp 20,750 per litre.
