Grab Integrates with SAP, Making Office Expense Reporting Easier
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Grab, through Grab For Business, has officially integrated its services with Concur Expense by SAP Concur. The collaboration is designed to make it easier for companies across South-East Asia to manage business travel and employee expenses automatically.
Through the integration, all records of business travel transactions, food orders and delivery services made via the Work Profile feature in the Grab app can be connected automatically to the Concur Expense system.
Every eligible transaction will be recorded directly in Concur Expense, meaning employees no longer need to enter expense data manually for reimbursement. For their part, companies can monitor cash flow and match these expenses against applicable travel policies in real time.
Valerie Khoo, Regional Head of Grab For Business, said business travel remains an important foundation of corporate operations. However, fragmented travel management and expense recording often add to the administrative burden.
“Business travel plays an important role in helping companies strengthen relationships with customers, reach new markets and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. However, many companies still manage travel and expenses through separate systems,” Valerie said in a written statement received by CNBC Indonesia on Tuesday (15/9/2026).
“Together with SAP Concur, we can connect business mobility with expense management in a single, more integrated process, so companies can automate expense reporting while gaining better visibility and control over business travel spending,” she continued.
Surge in Business Travel in Asia Pacific
The integration step comes amid a resurgence in business travel in the Asia Pacific region. According to projections from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), total business travel spending in the region is projected to exceed US$700.9 billion throughout 2026. Indonesia itself is one of the most aggressively growing markets, with the value of business travel predicted to jump by as much as 12.6%.
This growth demands stricter oversight standards. In fact, most operational expenses in the field – such as ground transport and meals – are still frequently processed manually.
Joint research by Grab For Business and GBTA recorded several notable findings:
95% of business travellers in South-East Asia use ride-hailing services (such as Grab) for work purposes.
However, only 58% of companies have specific mechanisms to regulate the use of such services.
As many as 57% of employees frequently delay submitting reimbursement claims because they find the process administratively exhausting.
Nearly half of respondents admitted needing more than 20 minutes just to complete a single expense report.
With the data bridge between Grab For Business and Concur Expense, all transaction histories will be synchronised instantly. Employees are freed from the hassle of re-typing data, while management gains full control over the company’s financial transparency.
The Grab For Business integration with SAP Concur is now available via the SAP Concur App Center for all corporate customers across South-East Asia.
