Grab Indonesia Confirms Drivers Will Receive Eid Al-Fitr Bonus!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Grab Indonesia has confirmed that its ride-hailing drivers will receive an Eid Al-Fitr bonus (BHR) during this year’s Eid Al-Fitr celebration. Grab Indonesia CEO Neneng Goenadi confirmed this, stating that the company sees the positive value of the program for its drivers.

“So, for your information, we have been committed to this since January because we see that this is good for our driver partners,” said Neneng in Jakarta, Thursday (February 26, 2026).

“We appreciate our driver partners who have achieved good performance, consistent service, and better commitment compared to the previous year,” she added.

She did not provide any details about the BHR that will be given this year. Neneng asked to wait for further notification, especially regarding the BHR scheme. Currently, Grab is still in discussions regarding this.

“Because we are still in discussions and so on. And we will also wait for the announcement to see if there are any other directions. Maybe,” she said.

When asked about the details of the distribution, such as the amount and when it will be given, Neneng declined to provide further information. She only said that she did not want to preempt the announcement.

“It will definitely be announced, and we will definitely inform you, and for sure, all partners who will receive it will receive it before Eid. It’s impossible for it to be after Eid,” said Neneng.

Previously, Minister of Manpower Yassierli gave a positive signal regarding the provision of BHR for online motorcycle taxi and online courier drivers. He said that discussions had been held and the response received was also good.

“We have held discussions. Alhamdulillah, their response was good, they are committed. It just depends on whether it will be in the form of a ministerial circular or in the form of a launch,” said Yassierli in a press conference at his office, Jakarta, Wednesday (February 25, 2026).

The announcement has not been made yet because it is still waiting for the results of coordination with the Ministry of State Secretariat. He also said that the government hopes that the BHR scheme, which will be implemented for the second time, will be better than the previous one.

Regarding the details, the confirmation of the BHR will be carried out simultaneously with the announcement of the THR (Eid bonus) policy.

“Of course, and in fact, we hope it will be better. Not yet, we will announce it later, together with the THR and the situation,” he said.
