Jakarta - The world is currently being hit by numerous crises, including economic uncertainty. Grab Indonesia CEO Neneng Goenadi has revealed that the existing challenges are coming from multiple directions.

“Entering the second half of 2026, the business world is moving in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing form. For business players, the challenges are no longer coming from one direction. There is geopolitical uncertainty, of course, changes in energy prices, then pressure on the supply chain, as well as the acceleration of technology and AI integration, and increasingly selective consumer behaviour,” Neneng said at the Grab Business Forum 2026 in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/6/2026).

“All of this influences the way companies make decisions,” she continued.

Citing the PwC Global CEO Survey 2026, Neneng said only 21% of CEOs in the Asia Pacific are confident in the prospects for growth over the next year. That figure has reportedly declined from 34% in the previous year.

According to Neneng, what company leaders need to do is think more sharply and with discipline. Additionally, they need to figure out ways to continue growing.

“Whatever happens, we must still grow,” she said.

The opportunity for growth is considered to remain very open. However, the space to grow using old methods is becoming increasingly narrow. Neneng continued that this space needs to be pursued in a more disciplined manner. Leaders must choose their priorities and execute more quickly.

“And ensure that every initiative truly has an impact,” Neneng explained.
