Jakarta — The super app platform Grab has announced an increase in permanent funding to support partner programmes and wider communities throughout Southeast Asia of $3.2 million for 2026 through the GrabForGood Fund.

“GrabForGood Fund is designed to help communities throughout Southeast Asia in building a better future. I have personally witnessed the remarkable resilience of our partners and communities; however, systemic challenges often become obstacles that are difficult to overcome alone,” said Grab Group Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Anthony Tan in a press statement received on Tuesday.

This funding initiative aims to finance various programmes across Southeast Asia through three main pillars of the GrabForGood Fund: education, community support, and disaster relief.

The funds will also support a series of community initiatives to strengthen childcare support networks, address school nutrition to improve educational outcomes, and foster learning innovation across Southeast Asia.

The 2026 commitment continues the positive momentum built over the past year through GrabScholar, which provides educational assistance for schoolchildren from underprivileged families as well as merit-based full scholarships for students facing financial constraints who demonstrate strong academic potential.

“In 2026, we hope that these various programmes can open more opportunities ranging from providing nutritious food so children can learn optimally, to awarding full scholarships for students to pursue higher education and improve the welfare of their families,” said Anthony.

Through the GrabForGood Fund, Grab is committed to ensuring the company delivers a positive impact on communities throughout Southeast Asia.

To support income growth and economic resilience for partners, GrabAcademy provides ongoing training and skills development programmes to help driver partners maximise their earning opportunities.

Additionally, Grab also operates inclusive initiatives such as the Grab Women Driver Programme and GrabAccess for persons with disabilities. These programmes are specifically designed to remove barriers to economic access for underrepresented groups on the Grab platform.

These initiatives are facilitated through the Green Programme feature in the Grab application, which channels user contributions to various environmental projects that have been independently verified across Southeast Asia.
