GPCI Says 9 Indonesian Nationals Detained by Israel Will Be Airlifted to Istanbul
“We have just received the list of names from Israel that was given to their lawyers there, and inside it are nine Indonesian nationals,” Maimon said in a video recording received on Thursday (21 May 2026). “But what we need to wait for is the aircraft manifest. Whether the ninth person is on board the plane, and for that, wait another 2-3 hours and we will provide an update.” He said his team will take testimony from the Indonesian nationals once they arrive in Turkey. Furthermore, the team will also take the case to the International Criminal Court (ICC). “So, alhamdulillah, the nine Indonesian nationals are currently on the list freed from kidnapping. And if they reach Istanbul, the first thing we will do is take their testimonies about the abuse carried out by the Israeli occupiers and then build legal documents to bring this case to the ICC,” he added.
