GP Ansor Says Prabowo's Board of Peace Diplomacy Aims for a More Peaceful World
Jakarta, VIVA – Chairman of Gerakan Pemuda Ansor (GP Ansor) Addin Jauharudin has assessed President Prabowo Subianto’s involvement in the Board of Peace as a calm yet firm strategy.
The move also affirms Indonesia’s presence as a “bridge” for dialogue amidst a divided world.
“The Board of Peace is a meeting space for world leaders and prominent figures to discuss conflict resolution, global stability, and humanitarian solutions. In that forum, Indonesia came not with a loud voice, but with a clear message: peace must be fought for together,” Addin said in a statement quoted from ANTARA on Sunday, 22 February 2026.
For GP Ansor, Addin said, President Prabowo’s diplomacy carries three simple yet powerful messages. First, the world needs dialogue, not mere finger-pointing.
Second, humanity must be placed above short-term political interests, and third, global stability is the foundation for the welfare of all nations, including Indonesia.
“This step reminds us of our nation’s history. Indonesia’s first president, Soekarno, once took diplomatic steps that were debated in his time. Yet history has proven that strategy and the courage to read the moment became crucial elements in safeguarding national interests,” he said.
He stated that on the Palestine-Israel issue, President Prabowo has brought a consistent voice — supporting Palestinian independence, pushing for a permanent ceasefire, and advocating for a two-state solution in accordance with international law.
Indonesia is not merely vocal but also active in humanitarian aid. For GP Ansor, this is the face of Indonesian diplomacy: firm in principle, wise in approach.
Participation in the Board of Peace is not merely symbolic. It is about building the world’s trust in Indonesia. A nation that is stable, dares to speak about peace, and is capable of serving as a mediator, is a nation that commands respect.
Global stability means smoother trade, more confident investment, and a more secure economic future. Peace diplomacy ultimately returns to one objective: the welfare of the Indonesian people.
GP Ansor believes that President Prabowo’s involvement in the Board of Peace is part of Indonesia’s role in helping maintain world order, as mandated by the constitution.
