Gowa Regency Prepares 16 Land Sites for KDMP Construction under Hasanuddin Military Regional Command XIV
The Gowa Regency Government in South Sulawesi has prepared 16 land sites to support the Red and White Village/Urban Ward Cooperatives (KDMP) under the Hasanuddin Military Regional Command XIV. These sites are distributed across several villages or urban wards in Gowa Regency.
This was stated by Gowa Regent Sitti Husniah Talenrang after meeting with the Commander of the XIV/Hasanuddin Military Region, Major General TNI Bangun Nawoko. The meeting took place at the XIV/Hasanuddin Military Command Headquarters on Friday (10/4/2026).
“Alhamdulillah, today we are establishing relations with the Commander to provide support to the TNI and the government in implementing the President’s programme. Insyaallah, Gowa Regency Government is ready to prepare 16 land sites for KDMP construction,” said Husniah in her statement.
She explained that providing this land is an initial step that will continue to be pursued so that the KDMP construction target can be realised in every village in Gowa Regency. She also outlined that the land for the village cooperatives will be distributed across several villages, both in lowland and highland areas, considering the suitability and feasibility of the land.
“We will continue to pursue additional sites, so that in line with the target, KDMP can be present in all villages,” said Husniah.
“Our land is actually plentiful, but we want to ensure everything complies with regulations to avoid future problems and for the cooperatives to operate optimally,” she added.
Husniah then expressed hope that the presence of KDMP would be able to improve community welfare, particularly in driving economic growth and reducing unemployment rates in Gowa Regency.
“Of course, with KDMP, the community will be helped economically. This is also part of our efforts to realise an advanced Gowa and a more prosperous society,” she hoped.
Meanwhile, Major General TNI Bangun Nawoko appreciated the proactive steps of the Gowa Regency Government in supporting the national programme. He assessed that this support would accelerate the realisation of Red and White Cooperative construction by his side.
“Today, I am honoured by the presence of the Gowa Regent. Not only establishing relations, but also bringing a mission to implement the President of the Republic of Indonesia’s priority programme, one of which is KDMP construction,” he said.
Bangun Nawoko explained that his side targets the construction of around 1,800 Red and White Cooperatives in villages and urban wards. Of these, 97 units are planned to be in Gowa Regency.
“This additional 16 sites from Gowa Regency Government is extraordinary support for us. Next, it will be processed according to procedures, starting from inputting data into the portal, verification if everything is safe from land and so on, and no issues with the community, then we will carry out the construction,” he clarified.
In addition, his side also reported the progress of KDMP construction in South Sulawesi, which is currently showing positive developments and is targeted to be completed by the end of July or early August. Not only KDMP, said he, the TNI Army’s pioneer bridge construction programme is also being accelerated as part of efforts to support community accessibility, especially in remote areas.
“Good news again, the President of the Republic of Indonesia has ordered the KSAD as the commander of pioneer bridge construction so that schoolchildren and the community no longer have to cross rivers and face danger risks, so later hanging bridges and Aramco bridges will be built, thus we need cooperation with local governments, especially village heads and sub-district heads, to report sites that need to be built, including in Gowa,” he added.
