Makassar (ANTARA) - The Gowa Regency Government (Pemkab Gowa), South Sulawesi (Sulsel), is accelerating the resolution of land asset certification owned by the region through collaboration with the National Land Agency (BPN) by certifying 1,224 regional asset plots.

Gowa Regency Secretary Andy Azis in Gowa on Thursday stated that the Pemkab Gowa is currently identifying regional assets, particularly land assets numbering 2,121 plots.

“For the time being, we are conducting identification related to assets, especially land and buildings totalling 2,121 plots. Therefore, we are calling all SKPD (Regional Work Units) that possess assets to accelerate certification,” he explained.

According to Andy Azis, this step is also part of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) attention in promoting the organisation and recording of local government assets to make them better, orderly, and valid.

“The meeting results agreed that all asset data from each OPD should immediately be entered into BPN with assistance from the Gowa Regency Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Office (Perkimtan) because all priorities, one of which is Sultan Hasanuddin Field,” he clarified.

They target that by this month, all data will have entered BPN, and implementation of certification will begin in June.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Gowa Regency Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Office (DPKPP) Abdullah Sirajuddin revealed that of the total 2,121 plots of Pemkab Gowa assets, 897 plots have been certified, and 1,224 plots remain as the target for acceleration.

“Therefore, we are collaborating and assisted by BPN in accordance with the leadership’s directives so that the resolution is carried out comprehensively,” he added.

Abdullah explained that the assets with the most uncertified plots are in the Education Office (Disdik) and Public Works Office (PU). For the Education Office, they consist of school lands, while for Public Works, they are mostly land under roads.

“We agreed earlier that by mid-June, everything should be completed. So the stages are, they input the KIB (Goods Inventory Card) data for each asset, then input the forms to BPN, then jointly measure the requested objects. After that, if there are no issues, the certificates are issued,” said Abdullah.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPN Gowa Regency, Aksara Alif Raja, stated that this acceleration of asset certification is an implementation of cooperation between Pemkab Gowa, ATR/BPN, and KPK in providing legal certainty for local government assets.

“The aim is for all Pemkab Gowa assets to have legal certainty. We also encourage the government to synchronise NIB (Plot Identification Number) data with NOP (Tax Object Number) for Land and Building Tax (PBB),” he stated.

Aksara is optimistic that the resolution of asset certification can be done quickly, especially since the remaining number of plots is deemed feasible to be completed as soon as possible.

“Compared to the Gowa Regency PTSL (Complete Systematic Land Registration) target this year of 21,000 plots, then these 1,200 or so local government asset plots can certainly be completed soon. Alhamdulillah, the Regent, Deputy Regent, and Mr Secretary strongly support the acceleration of realising Pemkab Gowa asset certification,” he said.
