This achievement has been praised by the Regent of Gowa, Sitti Husniah Talenrang, who stated that Gowa also recorded the lowest percentage of rejections in building permit processing, at 0.34%. “We want the community to experience fast, clear, and more easily accessible services. Building permit processing should help the community, not make things difficult for them,” said Husniah in a statement on Friday (15/5/2026). In addition, the Gowa Regency Government has also demonstrated strengthened public services in the building permit sector. This achievement is mainly in accelerating administrative processes, providing community assistance, and simplifying digital-based services. According to Husniah, the improvement of their services has been carried out gradually through strengthening coordination between regional departments. Digital services through the SIMBG (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bangunan Gedung - Building Management Information System) are also being continuously optimised to ensure that the application process can run more efficiently. “Good service will build public trust in the government. When the process becomes easier and more transparent, the community will also be more orderly in managing the legality of their buildings,” she added. “This is also related to community protection. Buildings that are recorded and have legal status will make it easier for the government to carry out the arrangement and supervision of development in the region,” she continued. Meanwhile, the Head of the Housing, Settlement and Land Affairs Office of Gowa Regency, Abdullah Sirajuddin, said that his office continues to strengthen services by accelerating the verification process and increasing assistance to the community. “We strive to ensure that every application can be processed more quickly while still adhering to applicable technical standards,” said Abdullah. According to him, the improvement in the quality of service is also expected to have an impact on the optimisation of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in the building permit sector in 2025, with a target achievement of IDR 4 billion. This achievement represents 100% of the set target. “Assistance is also continuously provided so that the community can more easily understand the stages and requirements for processing building permits,” he explained.
