Govt told to regent inauguration

PASIR, East Kalimantan: A Pasir senior councillor demanded on
Thursday that the central government order the cancellation of
the inauguration of newly elected regent Ridwan Suwidi and deputy
regent Hatta Garit. The inauguration had to be canceled on the
allegation that Ridwan used a fake high school certificate in his
candidacy for the Pasir election, said Fathurrahman in Jakarta.

"The diplomas are fake as the schools that the regent claimed
to have graduated from do not exist," said Fathurrahman while
visiting the Ministry of Home Affairs in Jakarta.

During his visit to the ministry, Fathurrahman was accompanied
by eight other Pasir councillors. Sukoco, an official at the
ministry, said that he would report the case to the Minister of
Home Affairs Muhammad Ma'ruf. -- detik.com
