Govt to sell 8% of BRI stakes
JAKARTA: The government plans to sell as much as 8 percent of
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, the country's fourth-largest lender by
assets, aiming to raise funds to plug the budget deficit.
"We want to retain a 51 percent ownership in the lender,"
State Minister of State Enterprises Sugiharto told reporters in
his office in Jakarta on Friday. PT Danareksa has been appointed
the adviser for the sale, Sugiharto said. -- Bloomberg
