Govt policy in handling aliens

Television has recently aired reports on stay permits of
aliens in Indonesia.

Many among the foreign visitors are traders, contractors and
so on. Not rarely does it happen that in order to facilitate
matters they enter the country by illegal means. It all has a
bearing on the accuracy of the data on aliens in Indonesia, which
is detrimental to the government.

The question arises as to why the government does not
investigate corruption cases involving officials issuing permits
for their own gain?

According to sociology, what the government is doing in the
probing of illegal aliens is chronologically wrong. The
government should in the first place investigate any corruption
cases. Then, it can start probing the aliens committing
offenses.
