Govt plans roadshow for bonds next year
JAKARTA: The Indonesian government will hold a non-deal
roadshow early next year to market a planned- global bond
offering worth up to US$2 billion, a government official said on
Wednesday.
"We plan to market the bonds to several countries and visit
two well-known international rating agencies, Standard & Poor's
and Moody's Investors Service, for rating purposes," Anggito
Abimanyu, a senior official at the finance ministry, told
reporters.
The Indonesian government will determine the final date for
the bonds issue - meant to help finance the state budget deficit
- after the roadshow. The government has said that it expects to
issue the global bond within the first half of next year. -- Dow
