Govt officials' wealth

Keeping abreast of the latest news about our country through
the website of Bisnis Indonesia (www.bisnis.com) is really
enjoyable, especially concerning the wealth of government
officials or future officials.

I wish to suggest that all rich officials, whose wealth
amounts to over Rp 2 billion, voluntarily dedicate themselves to
the country without being paid. Of course they would receive
state facilities in return for their hard work and services. When
they retire, they would go down in the country's history as
heroes. Their material wealth of over Rp 2 billion could perhaps
last for more than seven generations.

Then, the budget for their salaries could be allocated for
public services. Every month funds would then be ready for the
maintenance of public services. Of course, there should be
neither corruption nor malfeasance in the utilization of these
funds.

If any government officials do not think that Rp 2 billion is
enough, they should quit the civil service and run a business.
