Govt officials to be summoned

JAKARTA: A minister will summon top government officials who have
a double posting in private companies.

The Minister of State Administrative Reform, Feisal Tamin,
said on Wednesday that among the officials to be summoned were
the head of the National Land Agency (BPN), Lutfi Nasution and
the secretary general of the Ministry of Resettlement and
Regional Infrastructure, Djoko Kirmanto.

Feisal will also summon an Indonesian Bank Restructuring
Agency (BPPN) official to clarify the two government official's
status in the private sector.

"Based on the government regulation No 30/1980 on civil
servants, it is illegal for government officials to become the
directors or commissioners of private companies," he said.

Lutfi is now holding the post of commissioner chief, and Joko
the vice commissioner chief, of property company PT Bumi Serpong
Damai.

BPPN asked both officials to chair the posts.
