Gorontalo (ANTARA) - Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail has requested that all Hajj officials provide the best service to prospective pilgrims from the region.

Gusnar stated this after swearing in the Petugas Penyelenggara Ibadah Haji (PPIH) for Embarkasi Haji Antara (EHA) Gorontalo, in Gorontalo on Wednesday.

The PPIH for Gorontalo for the 2026/1447 Hijriyah Hajj season consists of 150 personnel, comprising 79 cross-sector PPIH, 60 embarkation PPIH, and 11 kloter PPIH.

Governor Gusnar urged the Hajj officials to remain focused, concentrated, and fully dedicated in serving the prospective pilgrims.

According to him, the success of Hajj services will be an important record for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in realising the plan for a Gorontalo Hajj embarkation.

“Let us strengthen our duties this year to support the implementation of the Hajj embarkation, which, God willing, will be realised in the coming years,” said Gusnar.

This includes ensuring the completeness of administrative requirements for prospective pilgrims, from immigration, baggage checks, to departure to the Makassar Embarkation and onwards to Saudi Arabia.

“Congratulations on your work, and God willing, everything will go smoothly. Hard work never betrays results. I hope all Hajj officials can uphold this principle well. Have faith and believe that effort is necessary, while praying that all our tasks proceed smoothly,” he said.

He expressed relief at having sworn in the PPIH EHA Gorontalo, accompanied by the Head of the Hajj and Umrah Office Mansur, the Head of the Religious Affairs Office Kaswad, leaders of regional apparatus organisations (OPD), and several related agency heads.

Governor Gusnar has also inspected the readiness of the hotel at the Hajj dormitory.
