Governor rushed to hospital

MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: South Sulawesi governor Amin Syam was rushed to Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital on Tuesday for exhaustion.

The governor looked pale when receiving Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) executives of its South Sulawesi chapter and committee members of the Nyepi celebration, and later told his doctor that he felt ill.

Hasyim Sudikio, spokesman of the South Sulawesi administration, said doctors at the hospital had checked the governor and found nothing serious.

"It is probable that he is suffering from exhaustion. Doctors have prescribed rest," he said. -- JP
