Governor Reveals Several Kopdes Merah Putih in Central Java Built on Protected Agricultural Land

Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi has stated that a number of Kopdes Merah Putih (KDKMP) village cooperatives have been established on Sustainable Food Agricultural Land (LP2B). Under existing regulations, LP2B is prohibited from being repurposed. “There are several of our KDMP that are situated on LP2B land,” Luthfi said following a meeting with the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention (Stranas PK) team, which was also attended by regents and mayors from across Central Java at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building in Semarang on Monday (13/6/2026). Luthfi added that the Stranas PK team has already recorded the KDKMP in Central Java that stand on LP2B. He revealed that two main issues were discussed with the Stranas PK team, one of which concerned the revitalisation of LP2B. According to Luthfi, regarding the existence of buildings on LP2B, including the KDKMP, his administration is currently conducting mapping and data collection. “We will later consult with the Ministry of ATR/BPN,” he said.
