Governor Pramono to Perform Eid Prayer at Istiqlal Mosque, Followed by Open House at Jakarta City Hall

JAKARTA — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung plans to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in 1447 Hijriah at Istiqlal Mosque in Sawah Besar, central Jakarta.

The announcement was made by Pramono following questions from journalists regarding his schedule for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration.

Following the Eid prayers at Istiqlal Mosque, Pramono intends to hold an open house at Jakarta City Hall in central Jakarta together with Deputy Governor Rano Karno.

“However, the open house event with the community will be held simply at City Hall,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Pramono urged residents planning to travel during Eid 2026 to report to their local neighbourhood and community leaders before departing.

The appeal was made to ensure that neighbourhood security remains protected whilst homeowners are away at their hometowns.

“So that if anything happens, there will be someone looking after it and someone who is responsible,” he said.
