Governor Pramono to Follow Central Government's Directives on Fuel Savings
The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) is prepared to follow the policy set by the central government regarding work-from-home (WFH) for one day per week. This is intended to reduce oil fuel (BBM) consumption amid the current geopolitical situation.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo assured that the provincial government will comply with the policy to be implemented by the central government. Moreover, the geopolitical situation remains unstable, leading to continuous increases in global oil prices.
“So the DKI Jakarta Government will follow whatever decision is made by the central government. Whatever is decided, we will carry it out,” said Pramono in Jakarta, quoted by Republika, Thursday (26/3/2026).
Nevertheless, he could not yet explain the policy in detail that will be applied in Jakarta. This is because, to date, no official decision has been conveyed by the central government. “Because it has not been decided, we have not taken a stance on it,” Pramono stated.
Previously, the government confirmed that the WFH policy will begin to be implemented after Eid al-Fitr. This is done as an effort to save energy amid the rise in global oil prices.
