Governor Pramono Targets 1x24 Hour Maximum Response for Violence Victim Reports

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting the handling of reports by victims of violence against women and children to be completed within a maximum of 1x24 hours after a complaint is received. The target is part of a trial for an integrated service for handling victims of violence that will be implemented in Jakarta. “What is important is that the target for initial handling within a maximum of 1x24 hours from the complaint can be handled once this is implemented in Jakarta,” said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung after signing a Joint Decree (SKB) on the implementation of integrated services for handling victims of violence on Thursday (4/6). In addition to accelerating the handling process, Pramono stated that his administration would push for comprehensive service integration so that victims can obtain holistic assistance, ranging from legal assistance, health services, and protection, to psychological recovery. System digitalisation and sustainable assistance are also key focuses in the programme’s implementation. Consequently, victims will not only receive services when reporting but also throughout the recovery process. Pramono acknowledged that cases of violence against women and children in Jakarta remain relatively high, although they have shown a downward trend over the past two years. “On the ground in Jakarta, it is indeed necessary because Jakarta’s number of female and child victims is quite high, even though it has declined in 2025 and 2026,” he said. He expressed appreciation for the trust placed by the central government in designating Jakarta as a pilot area. According to him, the programme’s success can later become a model to be implemented in other regions. “In principle, the DKI Jakarta Government once again welcomes this appointment, and at the same time, the pilot becomes a role model for the agreement that has been mutually agreed upon,” he concluded.
