Governor Pramono Targets 1x24 Hour Maximum Response for Violence Victim Reports

The Jakarta Provincial Government aims to ensure that reports of violence against women and children are handled within a maximum of 24 hours after a complaint is received. This target is part of a trial for an integrated service for handling violence victims to be implemented in Jakarta.

“The important thing is the target for initial handling to be completed within a maximum of 24 hours from the complaint once this is implemented in Jakarta,” said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung following the signing of a Joint Decree (SKB) regarding the implementation of integrated services for handling violence victims on Thursday (4/6).

In addition to accelerating response times, Pramono stated that his administration will encourage full service integration so that victims can receive comprehensive assistance, ranging from legal aid and healthcare to protection and psychological recovery.

The digitalisation of the system and the continuity of assistance are also primary focuses of the programme. This ensures that victims receive services not only at the time of reporting but also throughout the recovery process.

Pramono admitted that cases of violence against women and children in Jakarta remain relatively high, despite showing a downward trend over the last two years.

“In the field in Jakarta, this is indeed necessary because the number of women and children victims is quite high, even though it has experienced a decrease in 2025 and 2026,” he said.

He expressed appreciation for the central government’s trust in appointing Jakarta as a pilot region. According to him, the success of this programme could eventually serve as a model for implementation in other regions.

“In principle, once again, the Jakarta Provincial Government welcomes this appointment and aims to serve as a role model for the agreement that has been mutually reached,” he concluded.
