Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the revitalisation of Pari Island Port in Thousand Islands Regency on Friday, 13 March 2026. The inauguration took place during his Ramadan outreach tour to the archipelago region north of Jakarta. The completion and opening of the newly renovated dock facilities is expected to immediately accelerate mobility for local residents.

“With the invocation of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, on this Friday, 13 March 2026, I declare the revitalisation of Pari Island Port officially inaugurated,” Pramono stated at the port.

The Ramadan outreach, conducted alongside regional leadership, was undertaken to directly assess the quality of public services. Pramono aimed to ensure that all regional programmes and policies deliver tangible benefits to residents of the islands.

“As Governor, I want to ensure that programmes initiated by the DKI Jakarta administration are functioning effectively on every island we will visit,” Pramono explained. “Hopefully, this will provide significant benefits for residents of the Thousand Islands, particularly on Pari Island.”

Pramono also highlighted several public facilities whose construction remains delayed on surrounding islands. He instructed officials to prioritise completion of the port project on Pramuka Island before the end of the year. “There is indeed still an unfinished port facility on Pramuka Island,” he noted, adding that he had requested the city administration to prioritise its completion this year.
