Governor Pramono Inaugurates Mayapada Hospital East Jakarta
PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (SRAJ), operating as Mayapada Healthcare, officially commenced operations of Mayapada Hospital Jakarta Timur (MHJT) on Thursday, 9 July 2026. The hospital is designed to deliver superior healthcare services with state-of-the-art medical facilities, easy accessibility, and integrated care for communities in East Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
Situated on 1.5 hectares of land in the strategic Jakarta Garden City (JGC) area, Cakung, MHJT is the eighth hospital in the Mayapada Healthcare network. Its presence is also expected to address the medical and occupational safety needs of the nearby industrial zone.
The hospital is equipped with various Centres of Excellence, including Women & Children, Paediatrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Gastrohepatology, Urology, and a 24-hour Emergency unit with on-site specialist doctors ready to handle various medical emergencies.
Mayapada Healthcare President Commissioner Jonathan Tahir stated that MHJT is the group’s first hospital in East Jakarta. He expressed hope that the network expansion would support the government’s Golden Indonesia vision. ‘We are not only supporting with the best technology and systems, but we are also bringing the best human resources. We hope to provide the best service, capable of rivalling foreign hospitals, to ensure all medical needs for the health of the Indonesian people can be met at Mayapada,’ he said in East Jakarta on Thursday.
On the same occasion, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his appreciation for Mayapada Healthcare’s contribution in building the hospital in Cakung. He hopes the facility will operate smoothly and that the public can optimally utilise its health services. ‘Today I am inaugurating Mayapada Hospital East Jakarta. This hospital has 107 beds and the facilities, which I saw for myself, are excellent. It is prepared to be a hospital acceptable to all classes, with a particular focus on mother and child,’ he said.
The Governor noted that the hospital’s focus is driven by the area’s growing population and many new families, which creates a need for a representative hospital. He also pointed out that Cakung is the second most populous sub-district in Jakarta, yet it previously lacked an adequate hospital like MHJT. He described the hospital’s construction by Mayapada Healthcare as an extraordinary step.
