Governor Pramono Confirms Transjabodetabek Bus Fares to Increase

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will shortly adjust fares for the Transjabodetabek bus service. The exact amount of the fare increase for public transport services from Jakarta to surrounding buffer zones has not yet been confirmed. DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated he has received considerable information suggesting Transjabodetabek fares will rise to between Rp 10,000 and Rp 15,000. He noted, however, that the final post-increase fare has not been decided. “There will indeed be a price adjustment, especially on several long routes that require additional costs because in those places, for instance the route to Soekarno-Hatta, there are three parking locations,” Pramono said in Jakarta on Thursday (11/6/2026). He explained that every Transjabodetabek unit serving trips to Soekarno-Hatta Airport must pay vehicle parking fees, increasing operational requirements. Pramono further observed that several existing Transjabodetabek routes cover long distances, which he believes drives up operational costs. “Every parking spot in Jakarta charges a fee. So there will certainly be additional costs, and the same goes for the route to Bogor,” Pramono stated.
