Governor Pram to offer free transport and entry to tourist attractions on 27-28 June

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo will make public transport and tourist attractions, such as Ancol and Ragunan, free of charge on 27-28 June 2026. “Specifically, to welcome Jakarta’s anniversary on 22 June, on 27-28 June we will make public transport free. Then, we will grant free entry to Ancol, Ragunan, and the city’s museums,” Pramono said in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday. In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will inaugurate a number of public projects and facilities ahead of the 499th anniversary of Jakarta on 22 June 2026. The governor, familiarly known as Pram, cited one of the projects to be inaugurated: the Jalan HR Rasuna Said area in South Jakarta, which is currently being revitalised. He said the area has been redeveloped into a corridor that is friendlier to pedestrians and public transport users, with reorganised bus stops and improved intermodal connectivity. Rasuna Said has also seen an addition of green space. Pramono added that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will inaugurate a commuter railway station serving the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) area in North Jakarta. The presence of the station is expected to improve public access to JIS. Another project to be inaugurated includes a connecting bridge between JIS and Ancol, built to integrate the Ancol tourism area with JIS, thereby facilitating visitor mobility. Previously, Pramono had inaugurated Rasuna Said as the location for the Car Free Day event on Sunday, 7 June.
