Governor of Lampung: Provincial Road Stability in North Lampung Reaches 93 Per Cent
The Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, stated that the stability of provincial roads in the North Lampung Regency has reached 93 per cent.
“The provincial-authority road sections in North Lampung Regency span 156 kilometres, and 93 per cent of these provincial roads are in a stable condition. The remaining seven per cent that are not yet stable is what we will continue to push for repair in the coming year,” said Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal in a statement from Bandar Lampung on Tuesday.
He noted that regarding the road sections under provincial authority in North Lampung Regency, the majority of the road conditions are currently stable and ready to support public mobility and the logistics of goods.
“Road repairs are non-negotiable, as they directly affect the livelihoods of the community across various strategic sectors. This is because roads are the main artery for the economy, social life, education, and so on; everything requires roads,” he said.
He continued that the road reconstruction in North Lampung Regency, which has a budget of Rp6.8 billion, is a form of the Lampung Provincial Government’s commitment to ensuring that road infrastructure connectivity across all regencies and cities operates optimally and equitably.
“Improving land transport infrastructure is a primary focus of the local government to encourage public mobility and accelerate regional economic growth. Furthermore, it is also important to foster collaboration between the central, provincial, and regency governments so that road construction does not proceed in isolation, but rather remains interconnected,” he added.
According to him, thanks to synergy with the North Lampung Regency Government and the central government through the Regional Road Instruction (IJD), budget allocations can be made for the repair of connecting regency-level roads.
“A total of Rp76 billion for regency roads will begin construction at the end of this October. Following pressure from all parties, the Rp76 billion budget can be utilised to repair regency roads,” he added.
