Governor Mirza Leads 81st Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony in Lampung
The commemoration of the proclamation moment proceeded in an orderly and solemn manner during the 81st Anniversary of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence ceremony at Korpri Field on Monday, 17 August 2026. Led directly by Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal as Inspector of the Ceremony, the national theme ‘Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur’ was observed by the Lampung Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum, TNI/Polri ranks, civil servants within the Lampung Provincial Government, veteran legion, youth organisations, university students, and school students.
Serving as Ceremony Commander on this occasion was the Commander of Military Police Detachment II/3 Lampung, Lieutenant Colonel CPM Anjan Pama Setiawan, with Infantry Major Muhammad Rafli as Ceremony Officer.
The ceremony proceedings were also supported by officials from vertical agencies in Lampung Province. The Proclamation Text was read by the Chief Judge of the Tanjungkarang High Court, the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia was read by the Head of the Lampung Provincial Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and the prayer was led by the Head of the Lampung Provincial Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The sacred moment of hoisting the duplicate of the Red and White Heritage Flag was carried out by the finest sons and daughters representing regencies and cities across Lampung Province, who are members of the Lampung Provincial Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop under the command of Infantry Second Lieutenant M. Nur Abi Hanzalah.
The core formation of the 2026 Lampung Provincial Paskibraka was filled by Danang Rian Pranata as Squad Leader 17, and Muhammad Siddiqi Afwa as Squad Leader 8. The task of tray bearer was entrusted to Ni Kadek Amelia Putri, accompanied by Bilqis Salma Andianti. Meanwhile, Muhammad Faizullah Annur served as flag hoister, and Muhyi Dermawan Agung as flag unfurler.
The ceremony sequence in Lampung was enlivened by the strains of the Lampung Provincial Government Music Corps as well as a choir from SMA Negeri 2 Bandar. The ceremony participants were divided into four Parade Battalions consisting of combined elements from the three branches of the TNI, Polri, Civil Service Police Unit, civil servants, Basarnas, National Land Agency, Customs and Excise, Indonesian Red Cross, Tagana, youth organisations, students from Unila and Itera, university student regiments, and school student formations.
