Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal inspected the progress of road infrastructure development on the Metro–Kota Gajah route in Central Lampung Regency and the Pattimura Road route in Metro City on Thursday, 20 August 2026. The inspection was carried out to ensure that road construction is proceeding according to standards, both in terms of work quality and timely completion.

“The work is neat, the quality is also good, and the work is much faster. It is already plus 8 percent, much faster. This should be emulated,” the Governor said after inspecting the Metro–Kota Gajah road in Central Lampung Regency, which has a handling length of 375 metres, before continuing to the Pattimura Road route in Metro City, with a handling length of 1,095 metres.

According to him, the quality of road infrastructure development must be a primary concern so that the results can provide optimal benefits for the community. He also emphasised the importance of applying the same work standards throughout Lampung. This is necessary so that the quality of infrastructure development does not differ from one region to another.

“Work standards must be improved. They must be the same throughout Lampung. If it is good here and poor there, the public will be disappointed,” he said.

The Governor assessed that the work results on the inspected routes showed very good quality. He expressed hope that the good quality of road construction can be maintained until the work is completed, so that the public can immediately benefit from improved connectivity and road access comfort.
