Governor Khofifah releases the first batch of Hajj pilgrims from Surabaya embarkation
Surabaya (ANTARA) - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa released the departure of the first flight group (kloter) of prospective Hajj pilgrims (JCH) from Surabaya embarkation, scheduled to head to Madinah early Wednesday morning. “The first kloter will be dispatched, God willing. According to information, five more kloters will arrive today. Please pray for everyone; may those departing be healthy, and those left at home also be healthy,” she said after delivering guidance to the prospective Hajj pilgrims at the Muzdalifah Building of the Surabaya Hajj Hostel in Surabaya on Wednesday. Khofifah, who is also the Coordinator of Hajj Service Officers (PPIH) for Surabaya embarkation, hopes that the entire journey process for the pilgrims, from heading to Madinah or from Indonesia to Jeddah and back to the homeland, runs smoothly and safely. “May the transportation process from here to Madinah or from Indonesia to Jeddah and their return all be safe. May they all return as Hajj pilgrims who are accepted (mabrur),” she stated. “The first kloter from Probolinggo Regency consists of 376 pilgrims, plus four kloter officials. Praise be to God, everything is running smoothly,” she added. She further noted that all travel documents for the group members, including Nusuk cards and luggage tagging, have been completed before departure. In addition, she assured that there are no empty seats or open seats in the departure of this first kloter. “There are no open seats; everything is filled. May there be no open seats,” she said. According to the schedule from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the second kloter of prospective Hajj pilgrims is scheduled to depart for Madinah on Wednesday at 13:55 WIB via Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo. The third and fourth kloters of prospective Hajj pilgrims are also scheduled to arrive at the Surabaya Hajj Hostel embarkation on Wednesday at 07:00 WIB, while kloters 5, 6, and 7 will enter on the same day at 13:40 WIB, 16:10 WIB, and 19:45 WIB respectively.
