Governor Iqbal Appoints 3 Directors to PT GNE, Here is Their Track Record
Governor of NTB, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, has officially appointed the new board of directors for PT Gerbang NTB Emas (PT GNE). This appointment is based on the results of the selection committee through Governor’s Decree Number 500/147/GUB.17/2026 on the Appointment of Candidates for Directors of PT Gerbang NTB Emas, dated 17 March 2026.
In the decree, Iqbal appointed Yuyud Indrayudi as the President Director of PT GNE, with Sulman as Finance Director, and Suhaimi as Operations Director.
The appointment of these three director candidates is the final result of the selection stages and will be ratified through the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of PT GNE after Eid al-Fitr 2026 or 1447 Hijriah.
“The Governor has signed the decree on the appointment of PT GNE director candidates. Next, it will be ratified through the GMS,” said the Secretary of the PT GNE Selection Committee, Riduan Mas’ud, on Thursday night (19/3/2026).
The Head of the Bureau of Economy and Development of the NTB Provincial Secretariat, Izzuddin Mahili, emphasised that the director selection process has undergone a strict and comprehensive selection, considering the experience, competence, and integrity of each candidate.
The three selected figures are expected to bring a new direction for PT GNE as a regional company that is not only business-oriented but also serves as a driving force for regional development.
Yuyud Indrayudi, selected as the President Director of PT GNE, is noted to have extensive experience in the mining sector and community development. His professional career was forged at PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara and continued at PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, as well as PT Sumbawa Timur Mining.
“The individual has strong experience in the mining industry sector as well as community development, with a multidisciplinary educational background that supports a strategic perspective in leading the company,” said Izzuddin.
Meanwhile, the position of Finance Director of PT GNE is entrusted to Sulman. According to Izzuddin, Sulman is a professional in the banking field with more than a decade of experience.
Sulman is known to have held various strategic positions at PT Bank KB Indonesia and currently serves as Branch Manager at PT Bank Mega Syariah. This experience becomes important capital in strengthening the financial foundation of PT GNE going forward.
“With competence in risk management and financial management, we hope he can maintain financial stability and improve the company’s performance accountability,” stated Izzuddin.
The Operations Director position at PT GNE is filled by Suhaimi. He is known to have cross-sector experience, from global technology companies to energy and mining projects.
Izzuddin said that Suhaimi has been involved in various large-scale electricity projects and served as Electrical and Maintenance Manager.
“He has strong technical and operational experience, so he is expected to strengthen the company’s operational effectiveness and efficiency sustainably,” explained Izzuddin.
Izzuddin emphasised that the appointment of the new directors is part of the NTB Provincial Government’s commitment to driving the transformation of PT GNE to have more mature corporate governance. It is known that PT GNE is now focused on the building construction business.
PT GNE is projected to have a business that can provide added value while making a significant contribution to Local Original Revenue (PAD).
“Going forward, we hope that PT GNE not only grows as a business entity but also becomes a strategic instrument in driving investment, creating jobs, and strengthening public trust through transparent and accountable governance,” clarified Izzuddin.
