Jakarta — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has invited the public to “Return Home to Jakarta” by offering promotional tourism packages including discounted hotel stays and attractions across the capital.

“The main theme is ‘Return Home to Jakarta’. Why ‘Return Home to Jakarta’? Rather than dealing with traffic congestion and difficulties, and given that we now live in an era of video calls where you can meet relatives anytime,” said Pramono at Central Jakarta on Friday (27 February).

The programme is being implemented by the Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) DKI Jakarta, the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (Astindo) DKI, and the Jakarta Experience Board.

The “Return Home to Jakarta” campaign will run from 27 February through 31 March 2026.

Jakarta is also presenting “Jakarta Festive Wonder”, involving 101 shopping centres across the capital, offering shoppers discounts of up to 70 per cent. Residents enjoying holidays, shopping and sightseeing in Jakarta can utilise public transport free of charge.

“Jakarta will be safe and comfortable. And anyone who wants to celebrate Eid in Jakarta will certainly benefit greatly,” said Pramono.

The promotional package includes:

  1. Hotel promotions: Special pricing and a “pay for 2 nights, stay 3 nights” offer across 26 Jakarta hotels

  2. Shopping vouchers at 8 ITC Group outlets

  3. Discounts and special pricing at various tourist destinations, including recreational facilities, museums, cinemas, golf courses, spas and other attractions

  4. Discounted and special pricing for Citilink flights and Indonesian Railways (KAI) services to Jakarta

  5. Private city tour packages
