Governor inaugurates research council

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Ali Mazi, the governor of Southeast Sulawesi, inaugurated on Friday 13 people as members of the province's Research Council for the 2003-2008 period.

The council is chaired by La Ode Geo.

Ali said it would be the council members' job to help the government and local councillors formulate and develop research in the province.

"The council members are expected to help create simple but applicable technology to help spur development in the province," he said. -- Antara
