Governor: DKI Provincial Government and High Prosecutor's Office Synergy Strengthens Jakarta's Development
Governor Pramono Anung stated that the synergy between the DKI Provincial Government and the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office is a crucial pillar in maintaining legal certainty, governance, and the smooth development of Jakarta towards becoming a global city. He made the remarks at the handover ceremony for the Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office at Menara BP Jamsostek, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, on Friday evening. Patris Yusrian Jaya handed over leadership to Sutikno as the new Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office.
According to Pramono, the collaboration between the DKI Provincial Government and the High Prosecutor’s Office has helped resolve various legal issues directly related to development interests and regional asset management. These issues include the handling of the monorail pillars on Rasuna Said and the clarification of the Sumber Waras Hospital assets.
“This synergy also continues to develop in handling cases through restorative justice approaches and the implementation of social work penalties, where law enforcement remains firm but prioritises recovery and the public interest,” said Pramono.
He assessed that the prosecutor’s office assistance is important not only when legal problems arise, but also as a preventive measure to ensure that every policy and development project complies with regulations, is transparent, and accountable.
“Jakarta is approaching its fifth century and transforming into a national economic centre and a global city. The increasingly large development agenda requires stronger legal certainty and governance, so the synergy with the High Prosecutor’s Office will continue to be strengthened to oversee development so that it runs well and benefits the community,” he said.
The Governor also emphasised the importance of the solidity of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum in maintaining Jakarta’s stability. Cross-institutional coordination is believed to be an important foundation for ensuring that government, development, and public service agendas can run consistently.
“I would like to thank Mr Patris Yusrian Jaya for his service and cooperation during his leadership of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, and also congratulate Mr Sutikno who now carries the mandate as Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office,” said Pramono.
Patris Yusrian Jaya also expressed appreciation for the support of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum during his one year and ten months of leadership at the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office.
“Being the Head of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office is an extraordinary mandate that brought me together with great, dedicated, and sincere people, especially the full support of the Governor and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum. I ask for blessings in my new assignment as Head of the Asset Recovery Agency so that I can continue to carry out the mandate according to the expectations of the institution and the community,” said Patris.
Meanwhile, the new Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office, Sutikno, expressed his readiness to continue collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and all elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum in supporting the regional development agenda.
“The Prosecutor’s Office cannot work alone; we must work together, coordinate with each other, and collaborate in carrying out our respective main tasks and functions because our goal is the same, namely to realise the welfare of the people. We ask for support from the Governor, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, and all stakeholders so that the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office can make a positive contribution to regional development,” concluded Sutikno.
