Governor Dedi Mulyadi Orders Rp9 Billion Revitalisation of Bogor's Pajajaran Museum

West Java Provincial Government is preparing the revitalisation of Pajajaran Museum in Bogor City. The project will cost Rp9 billion as part of cultural facility improvements in the area. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated the initiative follows the Kirab Budaya Milangkala Tatar Sunda event held in Bogor, which involved various cultural elements from multiple regions. ‘As a follow-up, we will improve roads, pavements, lighting, and gardens to allow the mayor to focus on village-level development. It will be called Palataran Binokasih,’ he said in a written statement from Bandung on Sunday, 31 May 2026. In addition to museum revitalisation, the provincial government will also improve supporting infrastructure around Pajajaran Museum to Lawang Suryakencana, the cultural parade route. The upgrades include road repairs, pavements, lighting, and gardens to create a more organised and comfortable cultural zone for the public. The Pajajaran Museum revitalisation aims to strengthen its role as a historical education space and a centre for Sundanese cultural preservation in Bogor. Meanwhile, Bogor Mayor Dedie A Rachim praised the Kirab Budaya Milangkala Tatar Sunda as an effort to reassert Sundanese cultural heritage in Bogor. ‘The governor brought the Binokasih Crown from Sumedang to Bogor today,’ he said. The cultural parade featured the Binokasih Sanghyang Pake Crown and involved traditional art participants from 27 regencies and cities across West Java, as well as representatives from Jakarta, Banten, and Central Java.
