Governor Andra Soni Promotes Banten as Investment Magnet

JAKARTA – Governor Andra Soni promoted Banten as an investment destination to entrepreneurs and alumni of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). The promotion was made during the Gala Dinner Forge Ahead in Indonesia Co-building Golden Age event at Fairmont Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. During the event, Andra emphasised Banten’s strategic position as the main gateway to Jakarta and a vital international shipping route. With a population of approximately 13 million, Banten is seen as a major hub for economic and industrial growth. He stated that Banten’s strengths are bolstered by ongoing infrastructure and connectivity developments, including toll roads, ports, and industrial zones that support smooth logistics and distribution. “As governor, I am open to opportunities and ready to facilitate partnerships between investors and Banten entrepreneurs,” said Andra Soni. He added that Banten has developed as a national centre for steel and petrochemical industries. The provincial government is also promoting future industries such as electric vehicles and green manufacturing, in line with the central government’s downstreaming programme led by President Prabowo Subianto. Andra assured that the regional government is working to create a safe, comfortable, and competitive investment climate to attract more investors to Banten. CKGSB is a renowned business school based in Beijing, China, with over 100 alumni currently active in Indonesia.
