Government to Prospective Managers: Once Village Cooperative Construction is Complete, Placement Will Align with Domicile
The Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, stated that the cross-regional placement of managers for the Merah Putih Village/Urban Cooperative (KDKMP) is being implemented to ensure the even distribution of human resources across all regions.
Following a Limited Coordination Meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday, Ferry explained that these placements are also intended to fill managerial vacancies in areas where KDKMP buildings have already been completed, allowing the cooperatives to commence operations immediately.
Ferry added that managers who object to being placed far from their domicile will not be immediately disqualified and can maintain their status while awaiting a placement solution. He advised managers who have received placement decrees (SK) outside their home regions to accept their initial assignments. Once the construction of KDKMP in their home regions is complete, their placement will be readjusted to align with their domicile.
Ferry emphasised that cross-regional placement is necessary to address the shortage of human resources in areas where cooperative buildings are finished and require management.
He also confirmed that managers who choose to resign will not face any sanctions, noting that the number of resignations so far has not been significant.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan, stated that managers who have received placements should accept the assignment to ensure their status as workers under Fixed-Term Employment Contracts (PKWT) for two years under Agrinas Pangan Nusantara remains valid.
“Once the cooperatives near your domicile are completed, the location will be adjusted. Therefore, your status will not be forfeited,” said Zulkifli.
He noted that KDKMP managers will begin their assignments according to their respective work areas on 1 October 2026.
KDKMP managers will receive an income ranging from approximately Rp6.3 million to Rp8.3 million, consisting of salary and allowances in accordance with the local minimum wage (UMK).
These managers will manage the cooperatives as part of the government’s infrastructure to support the distribution of subsidies and government assistance, as well as the development of the village economy.
A total of 28,620 KDKMP managers received their placement decrees from PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara on 25 September 2026 and were requested to provide confirmation by 28 September 2026. The managers are scheduled to begin active duty at their respective locations in early October 2026.
