Government to Execute Takeover of Hotel Sultan This Week
The government will execute the takeover of Blok 15 GBK, the former Hotel Sultan, on Thursday (18/6/2026). A total of 300 joint personnel have been prepared for this execution.
The 300 personnel are a combined force from the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK), the Ministry of the State Secretariat, the Legal Counsel Team, and the Office of Public Appraisal Services (KJPP). Additionally, preparations involve related agencies such as Telkom and PLN to support technical smoothness on the ground.
During the activity, the personnel received technical briefings regarding procedures for asset recording, documentation, and securing goods during the execution process.
Chairman of the Gelora Bung Karno Blok 15 Transition Team, Hendry Arisandi, explained that the briefing was conducted so that all personnel have a shared understanding of the implementation procedures in the field. According to Hendry, the recording and documentation aspects are crucial because the execution must proceed in an orderly, careful, and safe manner, in accordance with legal provisions.
‘PPKGBK is being very careful in this process. We want to ensure that all items at the location are properly recorded and documented. In accordance with the court’s decision, items that are not attached to the land and buildings remain the property of the previous manager, namely PT Indobuildco,’ said Hendry at the GBK Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (15/6).
Hendry stated that this preparatory step was also taken because PT Indobuildco had previously been asked to vacate the object of execution. However, as of the time this report was filed, there has been no visible goodwill from the previous manager to carry out the court order.
Therefore, Hendry said, PPKGBK together with relevant elements has prepared an orderly mechanism in case there are still items belonging to PT Indobuildco inside the Blok 15 GBK area at the time of execution. All such items will be recorded, documented, moved, and stored neatly and securely.
‘Our principle is clear, this execution is the implementation of a court order. But at the same time, we still uphold the rights to the property of the previous manager. Indobuildco is given up to six months to collect their items, which will be stored and recorded properly by PPKGBK,’ said Hendry, quoting an official statement on Monday (15/6/2026).
Hendry stressed that all personnel involved are instructed to work professionally, not to take actions outside of procedure, and to ensure every stage is recorded accountably. With these preparations, PPKGBK hopes the execution of Blok 15 GBK can proceed smoothly, orderly, safely, and without causing losses to any party.
