The Coordinating Ministry for Food will reorganise the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme within one month, addressing issues by overhauling Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) that were reportedly being traded. The effort will also involve mapping recipient schools, improving kitchen quality, and verifying beneficiary reports for the programme.

This decision was taken during a coordination meeting on improving the quality of the MBG programme and SPPG in remote areas, held at the Coordinating Ministry for Food office in Jakarta on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Head of the National Nutrition Agency Nanik S Deyang.
