Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto has revealed that the government intends to discuss fiscal support or stimulus for industries that use plastic. The discussion is scheduled to take place at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office in Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4). “Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will discuss it, a meeting with the task force here. The National Economic Acceleration Task Force, including debottlenecking,” said Airlangga when met at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office in Jakarta on Monday. The meeting will serve as a forum for the government to formulate responses to issues impeding the business world, including cost pressures resulting from the recent surge in plastic prices. The task force has the duty to coordinate the acceleration of government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement, which includes, among others, the Economic Package Programme and the Economic Stimulus Programme. In addition, the task force is tasked with establishing integrated and collaborative strategic steps for accelerating government programme implementation to support economic growth enhancement, conducting monitoring and evaluation of budget realisation supporting government programme implementation. Furthermore, it establishes breakthrough strategic problem-solving steps that are quick and precise.
