Government Sets Investment Target of Rp 13,032 Trillion by 2029, Up 43 Percent

Minister for Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, is targeting investment realisation of Rp 2,322 trillion in 2027. “The investment target for 2027 is Rp 2,322 trillion, up from this year’s (2026) target of Rp 2,041 trillion,” Rosan said during a press conference on the Financial Note and 2027 State Budget Draft in Jakarta on Friday (14/8). Rosan said the target is part of the government’s investment goals for the next five years. The period covers 2025 to 2029 with a total investment target of around Rp 13,032 trillion. According to him, the five-year investment target represents an increase of around 43 percent compared with investment realisation over the past 10 years. “That is an increase of approximately 43 percent compared with the last 10 years. This is just to provide a brief overview,” he said. In addition, he also presented investment realisation in the first half of 2026, which reached Rp 1,010 trillion, growing 7.2 percent compared with the same period the previous year, or year on year. “It absorbed 1.4 million direct workers, up 15 percent,” he said. He explained that the figure is a combination of indirect employment opportunities and other investment-supporting activities.
