Government Seizes 214.84 Tonnes of Narcotics in One Year, Affirms Astacita Commitment

The government has affirmed that its commitment to eradicating narcotics is not mere rhetoric, but is reflected in concrete actions, including the seizure of more than 200 tonnes of drugs over the past year. This was conveyed by Presidential Chief of Staff Jenderal TNI (Purn.) Dudung Abdurachman during the commemoration of International Anti-Narcotics Day in Jakarta on Friday. He stated that the government’s firm stance is part of the Astacita mission, which aims to realise a just and prosperous Indonesia. In the last year, authorities successfully uncovered 59 narcotics syndicate networks and seized 214.84 tonnes of various types of drugs, with an estimated total value of Rp29 trillion.
