The government has officially launched the 0% Pocket Book: Benefits and Recipients of Welfare Support in 2026. The book contains data on the beneficiaries of President Prabowo Subianto’s programmes in the field of public welfare.

Head of the Government Communication Agency, Angga Raka Prabowo, explained that the 0% Pocket Book aligns with the government’s efforts to eradicate poverty in Indonesia. The book provides accurate information on the impact of the programmes being implemented.

“In line with the duties and functions of the Communication Agency, we must ensure that every piece of information, every policy, and every step taken by the government, especially for welfare, reaches the beneficiaries,” said Angga Raka during a press conference in the Situation Room at the Bina Graha Building, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/6/2026).

On that occasion, he also shared stories of several programmes that have successfully benefited the public. For instance, the People’s School, which can now accommodate children from families unable to afford formal education.

“And Alhamdulillah, with the People’s School programme, those children can experience schooling,” said Angga Raka.

Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari stated that the 0% Pocket Book is the government’s effort to strengthen transparency in conveying policy information in a concise manner.

“This book is presented to make it easier for the public to know and access various government supports. Many of my colleagues saw earlier that for 0% poverty alone there are 17 programmes, not to mention the universal ones and others,” said Qodari.

Qodari also said that the book provides explanations on the broad direction of President Prabowo’s programmes for sustainable welfare support.

“The state is not only present when the people face difficulties but also ensures that the people grow healthy, obtain education, work independently, and live prosperously,” he said.

According to Qodari, the 0% Pocket Book contains the integration of public welfare support programmes that are integrated through the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN). It also includes the current state of social welfare in Indonesia.

It is stated that the majority of the population is in the group approaching or reaching the middle class, or 141.95 million people. Although there are still 67.9 million people in vulnerable poverty, and 23.85 million people in the poor category.

“Although the number is relatively small, as a percentage it is very small, zero point something percent. But it still affects 2.38 million people who are in extreme poverty. This is our current challenge, not just reducing extreme poverty figures, but also ensuring that vulnerable groups do not fall back down,” he said.
