Government Refines Social Assistance Recipient Data with DTSEN

The government continues to refine the accuracy of social assistance recipient data through the National Socio-Economic Integrated Data, or DTSEN. Although it is considered increasingly accurate, the government asserts that data updating must be carried out continuously, together with regional governments, so that the distribution of social assistance is right on target. The government has ensured that students who are hindered from receiving the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) Kuliah due to changes in social decile data still have the opportunity to obtain educational assistance. The Ministry of Social Affairs, together with the Ministry of Higher Education, has prepared a number of schemes so that prospective recipients can still access the programme.
