Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government is reallocating ministry/institution (K/L) spending amounting to Rp121.2 trillion up to Rp130.2 trillion as one of the efforts to mitigate global economic dynamics. Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, in a press conference monitored online in Jakarta on Tuesday, explained that the budget reallocation is a strategic step in managing state finances by refocusing K/L spending. The budget shift targets low-priority spending, such as official travel, meetings, non-operational spending, and ceremonial activities. Funds from several programmes are reallocated to more productive spending that directly impacts the public, for example, including the rehabilitation and reconstruction of disasters in Sumatra. β€œThe potential for prioritisation and refocusing of ministry and institution budgets is in the range of Rp121.2 trillion to Rp130.2 trillion,” said Coordinating Minister Airlangga. The policy is part of the 8 Pillars of National Work Culture Transformation aimed at addressing global dynamics challenges while maintaining domestic economic stability. One of the policies in this transformation is the implementation of work from home (WFH) for civil servants (ASN) for one day per week, namely every Friday.
