Cilacap, CNBC Indonesia - The Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, or Head of BKPM and CEO of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan P. Roeslani, has outlined that the government is preparing Phase-3 for six downstreaming projects. The investment value of these projects is estimated to reach US$10 billion or around Rp170 trillion. As known, today, Wednesday (29/4/2026), Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto officiated the groundbreaking for Phase-2, comprising 13 downstreaming projects with an investment value of Rp116 trillion. These projects are a continuation of Phase-1 with 11 downstreaming projects. “Phase 3, six more projects, their value will likely be larger (than Phase-2). Approximately almost US$10 billion or Rp170 trillion,” explained Rosan after the inauguration of the 13 downstreaming projects in Cilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday (29/4/2026). However, Rosan has not yet disclosed when the Phase-3 downstreaming projects will begin groundbreaking. At the very least, he said, these six projects are major ones. “So we are ensuring that in terms of delivery timing, the market, and the technology, all of it is good, the best. But yes, there is still Phase 3, perhaps in the near future,” emphasised Rosan. The six Phase-3 downstreaming projects will still consist of sectors including minerals, plantations, and aquaculture.
