BRI has once again demonstrated its role as the main engine of financing for the national housing sector. This is reflected in its disbursement of Housing People’s Business Credit (KUR Perumahan), which has already exceeded the unit target set by the government under the 3 Million Houses Programme for 2026.

At a meeting with Minister of Housing and Settlements (PKP) Maruarar Sirait in Jakarta on Tuesday (21 July 2026), BRI President Director Hery Gunardi revealed that as of July 2026, BRI’s Housing KUR disbursement had reached Rp 10.6 trillion, or approximately 88.3 per cent of the Rp 12 trillion target assigned by the government. In terms of units, the achievement had even reached 77,592 units, or 167 per cent of the target of 46,230 units.

“For Housing KUR itself, BRI’s achievement is already approaching 89 per cent. That is why the target going forward will also be raised,” said Hery.

Beyond Housing KUR, BRI is also continuing to accelerate the disbursement of Sejahtera Home Ownership Loans through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme. As of 20 July 2026, BRI had disbursed FLPP financing for 19,075 units.

Minister of Housing and Settlements Maruarar Sirait expressed special appreciation for BRI’s contribution, describing it as the bank with the best performance in Housing KUR disbursement. According to him, BRI’s contribution is the largest compared with other banking institutions.

“This week alone, we discussed KUR twice with the President. The first was at Hambalang last week, and the second was yesterday, when it was reported during a briefing by the Coordinating Minister. The highest achievement among all KUR schemes is Housing KUR, and the highest performer in Housing KUR is Bank BRI,” said Maruarar.

The data shows that BRI holds a strategic share in the 3 Million Houses Programme while also acting as the driving force behind Housing KUR disbursement. Of the national Housing KUR target of 88,535 units with a ceiling of Rp 50 trillion, BRI’s target share is 46,230 units, or around 52.2 per cent of the national target. Meanwhile, in terms of the ceiling, BRI’s target contribution accounts for 24 per cent of the total national target.

Not only that, BRI also commands a significant share of the overall national housing financing programme. Of the national target of 430,535 units, BRI has been given a financing mandate of 148,535 units, or approximately 34.5 per cent of the national target.

Separately, BRI affirmed its readiness to meet its Housing KUR disbursement target through to the end of the year. “Housing KUR is a subsidised programme, so the pricing, or interest rate, offered to customers is only 6 per cent per year, or around 0.5 per cent per month. That keeps the instalments very affordable, which is why the public has been so enthusiastic. If we look at the figures, disbursement growth has been quite high, and I believe it will continue through to the end of the year,” said Hery Gunardi.

This commitment reaffirms BRI’s position as a strategic partner of the government in supporting equitable access to decent and affordable housing for low-income communities, while accelerating the realisation of the 3 Million Houses Programme, one of the nation’s priority agendas.
